These premium seals for the GM 14 bolt full float rear axle turn within themselves like a bearing. This is the same technology used by semi trucks. This design can last a lifetime. The old style mounts solidly to the hub and has a lip that rides on the spindle. Any dirt or rust on the spindle will cause it to leak. This new style is installed in the hub. but the part on the spindle does not move. This design is far superior in every way and should last as long as your truck.
